Access Log Manager
Find out about the Access Log Manager and also the info that you will find inside it.
An access log is a text file that contains an extensive report on all of the files accessed by your Internet site visitors. All of the files which were requested in one way or another shall be included, so if you have a PHP script program and a website visitor opens only the home page, for example, you may find many files inside the log. The reason is that there are things on the home page which are embedded - parts of other Internet pages, pics, etcetera. These files shall be listed within the access log, allowing you to get a full picture of the way your Internet site works. The data is in plain text format, so the logs are sometimes termed "raw data" as well. An access log shows the name of every requested file, the path to it, the date it was accessed, plus the user’s IP address, Internet browser and Operating System. Additional information, such as the referrer site, is oftentimes included too. A log file may be processed by various desktop apps for statistical purposes as an addition to the web stats created by your server.

Access Log Manager in Cloud Hosting
If you obtain a
cloud hosting from our company, you'll be able to determine if access logs must be produced and for which domains or subdomains in your account this must be done. You may activate this feature from the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia Control Panel, which comes with all shared accounts. Each
domain name you host or subdomain you create will be listed there and you will see an On/Off option next to each of them, so you can easily enable or disable the generation of access logs individually for each site that you have. You may save a log to your personal computer by clicking on the Download link you'll see in the very same section of the Control Panel. The link will be available even after you stop the log generation, so you will still have access to the data compiled by our system.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting
If you have a
semi-dedicated server account with our company, it won't take more than several mouse clicks to enable the generation of access logs by our system if you need them. The feature may be permitted from the Hepsia website hosting Control Panel and this could be done individually for every single domain name or subdomain you have in your account. When you log in and navigate to the Access/Error Logs section of the Control Panel, you will find a list of all the hostnames with an On/Off button next to each of them. One click shall trigger the log generation and a second one shall deactivate it, so you can control this function with great simplicity. A Download link in the same section will enable you to save the created content as a text file, that you could then use on your personal computer. Even when the logs are disabled, you will still be able to download the data that has been previously generated.
